An Act regarding continuity of care for children and their eligible parents.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  The executive office of health and human services shall seek an amendment to the MassHealth demonstration project seeking authority to provide 12 months of continuous eligibility from the date of eligibility determination under Section 1902(e)(12) of the Social Security Act, to provide that any eligible child and any eligible parent of the child deemed eligible for medical benefits pursuant to clause (a), (b) or (c) of subsection 2 of section 9A of chapter 118E of the General Laws shall continue to be eligible for assistance for a period of 12 months or until the child turns 19.
