An Act allowing cable companies to compete for business on a statewide basis..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all cable companies providing cable television service in the commonwealth shall be licensed by the department of telecommunication and energy.  Any such licensed company is free to market and provide any and all of its products anywhere in the commonwealth.
