An Act requiring first aid training as a component for driver's education..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 13D of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition is hereby amended by adding the following:-

Every driving education program shall include a mandatory first aid certification component. The course shall be taught by volunteer emergency medical technicians. The certification shall cost $5.50 per student and it shall be administered by the registrar, without further appropriation, to compensate  the volunteer emergency medical technicians.
