An Act prohibiting cell phone use in school zones.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, after section 24P, the following section:-
24Q.No individual shall use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle within a school zone. For the first violation of this law there shall be a $100 fine; for the second offense there shall be a fine of $200 and for the third and subsequent offenses there shall be a fine of $300.
