An Act relative to ice safety..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 48 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 90 the following section:-
Section 91. A city or town which accepts this section in the manner provided in section 4 of chapter 4 may impose a permitting process, administered by the fire department, for individuals using ice melting machines on public waters. The process may include regulations regarding the size and scope of the use of this equipment.
