An Act authorizing the town of Plymouth to make improvements on unaccepted roads.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 6N of chapter 40, any other general or special law or charter provision to the contrary, the town of Plymouth may appropriate and expend public funds to improve private ways. .For purposes of this act, the word “improve” or “improvement” shall include, but not be limited to, engineering work, road maintenance, grading, drainage improvement and such other work as the board of selectmen determines to be in the public interest.
SECTION 2. This act shall be submitted for its acceptance to the qualified voters of the town of Plymouth at an annual or special election in the form of the following question:- “Shall an act passed by the General Court in the year 2011, entitled, ‘An Act Authorizing the Town of Plymouth to Make Improvements on Private Ways,’ be accepted?”.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
