An Act relative to ionizing radiation..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 112 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the word “facilities” in section 9E the following:-

“Physicians may delegate radiological procedures, including procedures using fluoroscopy, to a physician assistant who has completed a radiation safety course as prescribed by 105 CMR- 120.405.”

Chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the word “employed” in Section 5L the following:

(iii). A Physician Assistant registered under MGL Chapter 111, Section 9C, who has been delegated by a supervising physician the performance of radiological procedures including fluoroscopy and has completed a radiation safety course as prescribed by 105 CMR - 120.405”
