SECTION 1:
Section 24I of Chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following at the end thereof:
Healthcare providers shall have the right to choose the most appropriate Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved vaccine used to prevent a particular disease for any patient receiving vaccine provided by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) through the Universal Immunization Program. The MDPH Universal Immunization Program must provide access and coverage for any and all immunizations including combinations vaccines that have in effect a recommendation from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
