An Act preventing harmful chemicals from contaminating the water supply.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, by inserting after section 25I the following new section:-

Section 25J. Physicians or other health care professionals directly involved with prescribing or administering chemotherapy treatment shall provide patients prescribed said treatment with the means to collect and dispose their bodily wastes for a period of days after such treatment as well as written notice to each patient undergoing such treatment explaining in clear terms any regulations promulgated by the Department of Public Health under this section. 

The Department of Public Health is hereby authorized and directed to promulgate rules and regulations necessary for the implementation of this section, which rules and regulations may provide reasonable penalties for the violation thereof.
