An Act to provide information on the health benefits of breastfeeding.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 222, the following section:-
Section 223. The department shall provide educational information to the public on the health benefits of breastfeeding. All such information shall be compatible with the nutritional requirements to be provided by the department under section 1 of chapter 111I. The department shall post such information on its public internet site and may make the information available in written format, to local boards of health and to any state department, division or agency that administers a maternal or child health service or program, for public dissemination.
