An Act relative to screening for developmental disabilities..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 111 of the General Laws , as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 110B the following section: -
Section 110C . The department, in consultation with the commissioner of developmental services, shall promulgate rules and regulations for the testing, treatment, care, and parental counseling of autism and autism spectrum disorders. The earliest age for screening and the method of screening shall be determined and re-determined by the commissioner in accordance with said regulations in light of advances in medical science.
