SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive office of health and human services shall issue regulations on all state licensed cancer treatment facilities and medical and/or surgical oncologists in private practice to include mandated cancer survivorship plans for all patients at the completion of their active cancer treatment. Said cancer survivorship plans shall include but not be limited to, a summary of their diagnosis, a summary of the treatment administered, recommendations for the subsequent care of the individual with respect to the cancer involved, follow-up testing and monitoring, a directory of support services, wellness resources, and contact information for all related clinical staff.
Said regulations shall be issued no later than one year from the passage of this bill.
