An Act relative to trenches on private property..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 82A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 2 and 3, the words:- the excavation of trenches on privately owned land and for.
SECTION 2. Said section 2 of said chapter 82A, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by adding the following sentence:- The owner of private property shall install fencing around an unattended trench on that property as provided in 520 CMR 14.04.
