In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act relative to contractual obligations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Any city or town that has a contractual obligation with its employees shall use its Unrestricted General Government Aid to pay said contractual obligation; provided, however, those parties may mutually agree to or negotiate alternative conditions or payments, including but not limited to contract modifications or deferrals, in lieu of the city or town's contractual obligation.
