An Act relative to creditable service.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary the State Retirement Board shall credit Mark Silvestro with creditable service of four years and six months for the time he spent at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.

Eligibility for said creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by Mark Silvestro to the state retirement system of an amount equal to that which would have been deducted during such period had he been a member of the retirement system, plus accumulated buyback interest. Such payment shall be made in one lump sum or in installments upon such terms and conditions as the retirement board shall prescribe.
