An Act to increase competition in municipal health insurance.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

            SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, municipalities shall be prohibited from specifying vendors in their collective bargaining agreements.

            SECTION 2.  This act will take effect on July 1, 2011.
