An Act relative to disclosure of job recommendations.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 268A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following new section:-
268B. Any member of the General Court or any Constitutional officer who directly or indirectly, whether in writing or by other means, recommends an individual for a position as a public employee or quasi-public employee of the state shall file a written disclosure of the name and address of the individual who is the subject of the recommendation and the position and agency for which the recommendation was given. Said disclosure shall be considered a public record 3 months after it has been filed.
