An Act establishing godparent's day..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws shall be amended by adding after Section 15CCCCC the following new section:
“Section 15DDDDD. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the first Sunday in June as Godparent’s Day, in honor of the many loving contributions godparents make to their godchildren, and recommending that said day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.”
