An Act requiring customers to be notified on the status of the service provided to them..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or regulation to the contrary, all telecommunications, utilities, and insurance companies doing business in the commonwealth will be required to send a certified letter at least ten days in advance to notify their customers that the service provided to them will be shut off or discontinued due to money that is owed to such company.
