An Act relative to the appointment of the secretary of Housing and Economic Development..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 16G of chapter 6A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "development.", in line 23, the following sentence:- "The governor shall select the secretary of housing and economic development from a pool of candidates representing 4 regions of the Commonwealth defined as: East which includes Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, and Norfolk counties; South which includes Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties; Central which includes Worcester county; Western which includes Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire counties.".
