An Act relative to Gold Star Family vanity registration plates.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition hereby is amended by inserting after the words:- “such persons.” in line 432, the following sentence:- “The registrar shall adopt regulations providing for vanity registrations of “Gold Star Family” distinctive registration plates for one private passenger motor vehicle owned and principally used by such persons defined in this section, and for a distinctive “Gold Star Family” emblem to be affixed to a vanity registration plate for a motorcycle privately owned and principally used by such persons defined in this section.”
The provisions of this section shall be effective upon passage going forward, there shall be no retroactive effect to this section.
