An Act validating a certain vote taken by the town of Tewksbury.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to validate a certain vote taken by the Tewksbury, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or by-law to the contrary, the vote taken by the voters of the town of Tewksbury at the election held on April 2, 2011 to exempt the town from section 21C of chapter 59 of the General Laws relative to the amounts required to pay for 50 per cent of the town’s debt service on existing bonds issued to construct the municipal sewer system and not previously exempted from said section 21C of said chapter 59 is hereby ratified, validated and confirmed notwithstanding any defect or omission in the election.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
