An Act extending hospice care to the MassHealth basic and MassHealth essential programs.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 53 of chapter 118E of the general laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:-  To the extent permitted by Titles XIX and XXI of the Social Security Act, the MassHealth Basic and MassHealth Essential programs shall include within their covered services hospice services to the extent such services are covered in the MassHealth Standard program.
