An Act relative to special education technical assistance grants..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 71B of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 5C the following section:-

Section 5D.  The department of elementary and secondary education shall develop and administer a technical assistance grant program for school districts for expenses related to planning and feasibility assessments and transition costs involved in regionalizing and collaborating special education services in-district; inter-district between two or more school districts; or as part of a regional education collaborative.
