An Act regulating the issuance of second hand motor vehicle licenses in the City of Everett.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding sections 57, 58 and 59 of chapter 140 of the General Laws, clause (9) of section 34 of chapter 687 of the acts of 1914 or any other general or special law to the contrary, the licensing authority of the city of Everett shall not issue more than 40 class 2, second hand motor vehicle licenses within the city of Everett under said sections 57, 58 and 59 of said chapter 140. A license previously granted by the licensing authority of the city of Everett under said section 58 or 59 of said chapter 140, shall remain in effect at the licensee’s location as long as the licensee complies with all of the rules and regulations of the licensing authority. The licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of an existing class 2, second hand motor vehicle licenses on the effective date of this act, from its existing location to any other location within the city of Everett.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
