In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act to provide substance abuse awareness education in schools..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Education shall establish an education program for all middle school children in the Commonwealth whereby said children receive a minimum of five hours of substance abuse and addiction awareness education during each middle school year.
