An Act exempting law enforcement officers from jury duty.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, section 1 of chapter 234 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 official edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “orders” in line 21 the following:- ;law enforcement professionals, including municipal police officers, state troopers, federal agents and correctional officers.
