An Act providing for the waiver of fees for contesting motor vehicle infractions.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

                SECTION 1. The first paragraph of paragraph (4) of subsection (A) of section 3 of chapter 90C of the General Laws, as amended by chapter 27 of the acts of 2009, is hereby further amended by striking the following:- “magistrate.” and replacing it with the following:-  “magistrate; provided, however, that the fee shall be waived or refunded if the hearing results in a ruling that the violator is not responsible.”
