An Act relative to dangerousness hearings..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Subsection (4) of section 58A of chapter 276 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the following sentence in lines 100 to 102: - "The hearing shall be held immediately upon the person's first appearance before the court unless that person, or the attorney for the commonwealth, seeks a continuance."
