An Act relative to the registration fee of sex offenders.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1:  Paragraph (1) of section 178q of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 1 to 2, the figure “75” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “100”

SECTION 2: Paragraph (2) of section 178q of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amendment by striking out the first two sentences and inserting in place thereof the following:-   “The sex offender registry board shall establish a payment plan for individuals who are unable to pay the fee due to a hardship on said person or his family due to limited income, employment status, or any other relevant factor.”
