An Act to provide protection against sex offenders.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of section 178E of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the second sentence, the following sentence:- Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, for purposes of notification, every sex offender shall be classified as level 3 until the classification is finalized.

SECTION 2.  Subsection (a) of said section 178H of said chapter 6, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “forth”, in line 12, the following words:- In this chapter or
