An Act relative to workers compensation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 13 of chapter 152 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following new paragraphs:--
The rate of payment by insurers for health care services adjudged compensable under this chapter shall be sufficient to ensure that the injured can afford all necessary care.
The commissioner will be responsible for ensuring that compensation and coverage determinations for services adjudged compensable under this chapter are made in a timely manner.
