In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to MassHealth providing medically necessary treatments for members diagnosed with autism.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. MassHealth shall cover medically necessary treatments for members diagnosed with autism. Treatments covered will include but not be limited to Applied Behavior Analysis supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. MassHealth will take necessary actions such as seeking approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in order to cover the medically necessary treatments.
