SECTION 1: Chapter 176O of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 22 the following new section:
Section 23: Notwithstanding any general or special law or any rule or regulation to the contrary any co-payment rate charged to a patient corresponding to the cost of exclusive care provided by a Physician Assistant, as defined in section 9E of chapter 112 of the General Laws, or a Nurse Practitioner, as defined in section 1 of chapter 176R of the General Laws, shall be adjusted to equal a co-payment rate in proportion to the co-payment rate pursuant to the corresponding cost of care provided by a physician, as defined in section 71 of chapter 93 of the General Laws.
