An Act creating a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers who are knowledgeable in autism.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, there is hereby established a scholarship fund to increase the number of medical providers who are knowledgeable in autism. Individuals eligible for applying for the scholarship are students attending the university of massachusetts medical school, state run/public nursing schools, and schools of state run/public dentistry schools who are either studying issues related to autism and/or plan to work with individuals with autism upon graduation. Three scholarships total will be awarded annually; on to a student attending the university of massachusetts medical school, one attending a state run/public nursing program, and one attending state run/public dentistry school.
