In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to the declaration of homestead.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (5) of subsection (b) of section 3 of chapter 188 of the General Laws, as amended by section 1 of chapter 395 of the acts of 2010, is hereby further amended by striking out, after the word “situated;” the following word:- and
SECTION 2. Paragraph (6) of said subsection (b) of said section 3 of said chapter 188 of the General Laws, is hereby further amended by inserting, after the word “capacity”, the following words:-
; and (7) judgments arising from the commission of a tort which occurred prior to the declaration of homestead.
