An Act to increase the wages of private sector human service workers.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 257 of the Acts of 2008 is amended in Section 4 by inserting after the words “those attributed to inflation;” the following words:-

the cost of bringing the lowest funded position up to 125% of the living wage, as defined by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology living wage calculator, for a single person, for the area where the program is funded and corresponding increases to other positions which are also below the living wage as defined by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology living wage calculator.
