In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to the administration of sealing criminal cases.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The third paragraph of section 100A of chapter 276 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “sealing”, the following words:-;provided, however, that the commissioner shall include, in said notification to the clerk and the probation officer, the corresponding docket number of each file for which a request to seal is being made .
SECTION 2. The second paragraph of section 100B of said chapter 276 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “sealing”, the following words:-; provided, however, that the commissioner shall include, in said notification to the clerk and the probation officer, and the department of youth services, the corresponding docket number of each file for which a request to seal is being made .
