An Act relative to fees for noncriminal hearings of violations of certain motor vehicle laws.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.The first paragraph of paragraph (4) of subsection (A) of section 3 of chapter 90C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentences:-  If the clerk magistrate finds that the accused violator is not responsible for the citation, the $25 fee shall be returned by the court to the accused violator. If the Justice finds that the accused violator is not responsible for the citation, the $50.00 fee shall be returned by the court to the accused violator.
