Murphy for an investigation by a special commission (including members of the General Court) relative to the viability of a foreclosure mediation program and the establishment and implementation of said program.  The Judiciary.

Resolve for a commission to study foreclosure mediation program.

 

Resolved, Resolves, There shall be a special commission to investigate, study, and make a report on the viability of a Foreclosure Mediation Program and the establishment and implementation of said program.  As well as the possibility of Judicial Review of Foreclosures in the Commonwealth.   The report shall assess the necessity of providing Foreclosure Mediation and establish reasonable standards for consumer protection.  The commission shall consist of members chosen by: The Speaker of the House, the Senate President, The Attorney General and the State Banking Commissioner

The Commission shall file its report, including its recommendations and a draft of any legislation necessary to carry out its recommendations, by filing the same with the clerks of the House of Representatives and the Senate not later than June 30, 2012.
