An Act relative to police officer access to probation records.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 167 of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “rehabilitation”, in line 32, the following words:- conditions of any person on probation.

SECTION 2.  Section 168A of said chapter 6, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-

The board shall include in the criminal offender record information all conditions of any person on probation transmitted under this section by the commissioner of probation to the board.  Such information contained in said system shall be made available by the board to police officers upon request without fee.
