An Act relative to court house closings during inclement weather.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 10 of chapter 211B of the General laws, as appearing in the 2010 Offical Edition, is hereby amended by striking out clause (iv) and inserting in the place thereof the following clause:-
(iv) the power to suspend any particular session in any court within their department; the power to move sessions so that the availibility of court personnel is consistent with the needs of individual courts; and to make such periodic adjustments in the scheduling and locations of court sessions as are deemed necessary for the proper administration of justice; provided, however, that if a chief justice of any trial court department or any other person who such responsibilities and powers were delegated to, makes a decision to close one of its trial departments in a geographical area due to inclement weather, all trial court departments in such geographical area shall be closed;
