An Act relative to the maximum age for jurors.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to adjust the age for the juror service exemption  , therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.Section 1 of Chapter 234 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 26, the word “seventy” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 75.

SECTION 2. Section 4 of Chapter 234A in the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 8, the word “seventy” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 75.
