An Act to ensure adequate handicapped parking.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 22A of chapter 40 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the second sentence of the second paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-

Parking spaces designated as restricted under this paragraph shall be no less than five percent of the parking spaces regulated by a city or town on ways within its control and shall be identified by the use of above-grade signs with white lettering against a blue background and shall bear the words “Handicapped Parking: Special Plate Required.
