In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act relative to food establishments.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 30 of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding, at the end, the following paragraph:-

“All food establishments shall post their most current rating in a conspicuous location clearly visible to the public near the current permit and it must remain posted until the next scheduled inspection.  If the owner or food operator appeals the rating and requests a re-inspection, the rating does not have to be posted until the requested re-inspection is completed.  Food establishment ratings shall be published in a form available to the majority of citizens, including, but not limited to, newspapers and on-line.”
