An Act to amend Section 1420 of Chapter 111 to eliminate Stage II Vapor Recovery Systems.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Insert the following subsections in section 1420 of Chapter 111:

(f) the department shall not require that Stage II vapor collection and control systems be utilized in a motor vehicle fuel dispensing facility after March 1, 2013.

(g) within one year of becoming exempt from Stage II system requirements, a motor vehicle fuel dispensing facility must decommission its Stage II system in accordance with department requirements.
