An Act relative to elliptical step cycles.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  Chapter 85 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 11 the following:-

(12) Other types of Human Powered Vehicles that depart from the traditional 2 wheeled bicycle design, such as, but not limited to Recumbent Cycles using 2, 3 or 4 wheels, 3 wheeled cambering vehicles commonly known as Trikkes, Elliptical Step Cycles are subject to and have all the rights and privileges of Chapter 85, Section 11B except that any human powered vehicle equipped with 3 or more wheels shall not be permitted to ride 2 abreast, except when passing.
