An Act relative to knife manufacturing.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1: Chapter 269, section 12, as appearing in the 2010 edition is hereby repealed.
Section 2: Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Department of Professional Licensure in conjunction with the Department of Public Safety, shall promulgate rules and regulations to license the manufacturing and selling of knives, slung shots and swords, and furthermore, a person lawfully licensed to manufacture knives shall be granted the ability to transport certain knives, as determined necessary for the lawful sale or distribution.
