In the Year Two Thousand Thirteen

An Act authorizing and directing the Teacher’s Retirement Board to permit Henry McDeed to elect into the alternative superannuation retirement benefit program.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Massachusetts teachers' retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to allow Mr. Henry McDeed, a school teacher and an active member of the teachers' retirement system to elect into the alternative superannuation retirement benefit program; provided that said Henry McDeed shall make retirement contributions to the system as if he had elected into said program on or before July 1, 2001, plus buyback interest.
