An Act relative to the officers of the court.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 58 of chapter 30 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "custody", in line 19, the following words:- , or in the case of a court officer, receives bodily injuries resulting from acts of violence in the courtroom or public areas, holding areas and other designated areas of the courthouse or from subduing or apprehending escaping prisoners.
